Marcello Rollando talks with Albemarle Communications Specialists Jody Saunders

Jody brings nearly 15 years of marketing, branding, and design expertise to her role as the communications specialist for Albemarle County. She oversees the County website, media relations, e-newsletter (A-mail), and social media, as well as designs publications and highly visible marketing materials including reports, brochures, and advertisements.

Jody came to the County from the private sector and immediately found communicating for local government to be a perfect intersection of her marketing and design skills. She finds working alongside her passionate and civic-minded colleagues to be extremely rewarding and meaningful and has a passion for communicating complex information in an understandable and digestible way.

Jody grew up in California wine country but moved to Virginia nearly 20 years ago. She received her bachelor of arts in graphic design from James Madison University. She lives with her husband and her dog in Earlysville.
