Action Network vs. Climate Change

Drew Gallagher is the Virginia Campus Organizer for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network. The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is the first grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to fighting global warming in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Our mission is to build and mobilize a powerful grassroots movement in this unique region that surrounds our nation’s capital to call for state, national and international policies that will put us on a path to climate stability.

As the Campus Organizer with CCAN, he works with students across the state to mobilize the youth voice and ensure that our next generation has a say in our democratic processes. Drew works to put the power of decision making in the hands of communities affected by sed decisions, not corporations. Having spent almost his entire life in Virginia, he is still awed each day by the incredible beauty and wonder our state holds. Drew graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy and Planning.
