Reversing Citizens United is Bi-Partisan Patriotism

Sean Barnett is a northern Virginia political activist who has been in the fight against runaway spending in politics since the Supreme Court's decision, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, in January 2010.  Since then, he has been working to pass a constitutional amendment that would overturn the Citizens United decision and state that corporations are not people and money is not speech.  He has worked to obtain local resolutions supporting such an amendment from the Arlington County Board, the Alexandria City Council, and the Falls Church City Council.  Professionally, Mr. Barnett is a defense analyst and an attorney.  He is active in Democratic politics as a member of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee and Progressive Democrats of America.  He has also served on the leadership team of the Virginia progressive grassroots political network, The Brigades.
