Today on The Neil Haley Show, The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Rebekka Johnson of Netflix's GLOW.

next seen reprising her role as Dawn, one part of the wrestling duo: Edna and Ethel Rosenblatt: The Beatdown Biddies and lover of all things glitter and spandex- on the hit Netflix series “Glow.”  

“Glow” follows Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), a struggling, out of work actress in Los Angeles in the 1980’s, who eventually goes on to create the first women’s wrestling TV show.  Rebekka was nominated for a 2018 SAG Award with her co-stars for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for the first season of the show. 

Additional credits for Rebekka include: “Arrested Development” for Netflix, “This Is Forty” for Universal Pictures, and directing/producing several viral YouTube sketches including “Typecast” and “What if Catcalls Were Cheeseburgers,” as well as the digital office comedy, “Anti-Social.”  She directed the short, “The Pitch,” starring John Ennis, which is currently making the festival rounds. For four years she served as writer/director for Made Man's critically acclaimed series “Speakeasy with Paul F Tompkins” (Defy Media).  Rebekka has also directed and produced work for Rachel Bloom, creator and star of the Golden Globe Award winning series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”  She has also written for Yahoo, Nickelodeon, Slate V and MadCow Productions.
