Today on The Neil Haley Show, The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Dirk Blocker of FOX's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".

Actor Dirk Blocker.  Blocker is currently promoting his literary debut, an illustrated fable entitled, “Master and the Little Monk.” Best known for his role as Detective Hitchcock on FOX's critically acclaimed comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” Blocker is adding ‘author’ to his resume as he prepares to release his first book“Master and the Little Monk,” a 'fable for youngsters of all ages' that tells the story of a lonely, young boy who is befriended by a unique ally and mentor. The bond formed between them helps set the boy on a positive path to realizing he, as we all, have a purpose in the world.

Dirk Blocker's storied career in the television and film industry began when he became a contract player at Universal Studios while still in high school. It was at Universal Studios where Dirk learned the value of studying with leading professionals, and started becoming cast in walk-on roles. Eventually he began booking guest starring roles on series such as “Little House on the Prairie,” and finally booked his first series regular role playing ‘Lt. Jerry Bragg’ in the WWII based series, “Baa Baa Blacksheep.” Since then, Blocker has been seen in hit projects such as: “The Border,” “Poltergeist,” “Starman, “MASH,” “Newhart,” “21 Jump Street,” “Matlock,” “The X-Files,” “ER,” and “Deadwood,” "Criminal Minds," and most recently, "There's... Johnny!" to name a few.
