The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Ex- MANSON FAMILY Member Dianne Lake, Author of MEMBER OF THE FAMILY.

MEMBER OF THE FAMILY:

My Story of Charles Manson, Life Inside His Cult, and the Darkness That Ended the Sixties

Dianne's memoir not only sheds light on how “Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll” ended in total chaos—but also shows how a young girl was manipulated, seduced and victimized by a man that has become the “icon of evil.”

Dianne has lived with a feeling of shame over those two years of her life at the young ages of 14 through 16 when she was physically, mentally and sexually abused by Charles Manson—even though she did absolutely nothing wrong and was the key witness for the prosecution and helped put Manson behind bars.  And only now, through the cathartic process of writing MEMBER OF THE FAMILY has she reconciled that rejected young girl who was longing for love, affection and a place to belong, with this strong mother of three who has gone on to lead a productive and frankly quite normal life.

Much has been inaccurately reported about Dianne’s life and with MEMBER OF THE FAMILY she sets the record straight, once and for all.  MEMBER OF THE FAMILY is a slice of history told through one girl’s own horrific experience that examines the age of “free love” and enlightenment and how one family got swept up in the counter culture, dropped out of society and how their teenage daughter paid the ultimate price.
