KATE ANDERSEN BROWER is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House. The Residence is currently being developed into a TV series by Kevin Spacey’s production company, Trigger Street. She covered the White House for Bloomberg News and Businessweek. As part of the White House press corps she traveled across the U.S. and around the globe on Air Force One, accompanying President Obama on dozens of trips including stops in Colombia, Poland, Ireland, France, England and Portugal. She was also assigned to cover First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. She was one of three reporters who traveled with Vice President Joe Biden to Mongolia, China, and Japan. A graduate of Barnard College with a Master’s Degree from Oxford University, Brower worked at CBS News in New York and as a producer at Fox News in Washington, D.C. She has appeared frequently on Sirius Radio,   ABC-TV’s “Washington Business Report,” and Bloomberg Television. She lives near Washington, D.C. with her husband, Brooke Brower, an executive producer for MSNBC, their two young children, Graham and Charlotte, and their Wheaten Terrier, Chance.
