The Total Tutor Neil Haley and Coach Karen Hall will interview All-Big East Pitt Star Jason Matthews. This is part 2 of the series of interviews we will do with Jasson.

Jason was heavily recruited. Ultimately it was John Calipari (now head coach of Univ. of Kentucky) who convinced Jason to join the University of Pittsburgh and a very special recruiting class. Alongside Darelle Porter, Bobby Martin, Sean Miller (now head coach of Univ. of Arizona), and Brian Shorter; these freshmen went on to be named one of the all time Top 5 Recruiting Classes in NCAA history. Jason held NCAA, Pitt, and Big East records for 3 point field goal percentage and free throw percentage. Jason was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team and was selected 3 times to the All-Big East Team. Scoring over 1800 points at the University of Pittsburgh, Jason ranks #6 on Pitt’s All-Time scoring list.
