Kat L. Robertson is the author of published poetry in several anthologies including The International Who’s Who in Poetry, 2004. Her life in the arts began during high school as a member of The Peekskill Drama Workshop in upstate New York, a theatre company founded by her mother. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Community and Educational Theatre from Emerson College in Boston, MA., and worked for many years as a teaching artist in both Philadelphia and New York City with various theatre outreach programs for at-risk youth such as Philadelphia’s Freedom Repertory Theatre; Venture Theatre’s Reality Crew, Stageworks, Camden School of Music and Art, The Village of the Arts and Humanities in West Philadelphia and City Lights Youth Theatre in New York City. As an actress she performed with the Society Hill Playhouse; Stages of Imagination and Theatre Caravan in Philadelphia and in several off off Broadway playhouses in New York. She was also in Local 798 as a professional make-up artist in the Philadelphia and New York film industry for independent films, music videos and commercials throughout the tri-state area. Today she and her life partner live on a sailboat in Savannah and wherever else the wind takes them.

Brimming with honesty and emotions, Kat L. Robertson’s poems are evocative, meaningful and powerfully moving. Light of Truth is a journey to understanding the meaning of love; examining expressions of love and ultimately embracing love itself. The water colors reflect the mood of the emotions evoked through the poetry.
