The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Henri Crokett. Henri Crockett, a native of Pompano Beach, Fla., and a graduate of Blanche
Ely High School, is not afraid of hard work and interesting challenges when
it comes to achieving success on and off the gridiron.
As a youth Henri was recognized as an All-American Athlete in Parade
Magazine¹s Super Prep and Football Report.
After accomplishing a stellar high school athletic performance, Henri earned
an athletic scholarship to Florida State University where he joined his
older brother, Zach, as a member of the Seminole¹s 1993 National
Championship and Atlantic Coast Conference Championship team from 1993 to
1997. In 1997, Henri was drafted in the fourth round of the National
Football League (NFL) draft and then proceeded to play five seasons with the
Atlanta Falcons and two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Shortly after being drafted to the Atlanta Falcons, Henri founded Team 94, a
not-for-profit organization named after his jersey number. Team 94¹s goal
was to assist at-risk youth with after-school tutoring and mentoring in the
Metropolitan Atlanta area. Through this individual effort with Team 94,
Henri was able to help several youth in the Atlanta area achieve their dream
of going to college, an unthinkable goal originally.
