Lori Mitchell, Founder/CEO Black Women in Technology

LORI MITCHELL, a visionary leader with a background in respiratory therapy and a passion for technology, recognized the need for a supportive community that addresses the unique challenges faced by Black women in the tech industry. LORI MITCHELL, CEO founded in 2014, BS, RRT, Black Women in Technology (BWIT) stands as a beacon of empowerment and inspiration for Black women across the technology sector. From its inception, BWIT has been dedicated to uplifting and supporting Black women in their tech endeavors, providing a platform where they can flourish and make impactful contributions. Under her leadership, BWIT has grown into a thriving network that not only celebrates diversity but actively works to bridge the gap in representation and opportunities for Black women in technology. 

Our organization embraces inclusivity and is committed to creating an environment free from discrimination of any kind, including race, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability.
