2) REALLY!? A Fox spokesperson confirmed that the network plans to write off 213 million in the Dominion lawsuit on their taxes. Federal law allows taxpayers to write off many legal costs, providing they are “ordinary and necessary” business expenses. The IRS has affirmed that paying out settlements is a cost of doing business. Because Fox paid $787 million to settle the lawsuit, they can get a tax break of up to $213 million.! REALLY? 3) A resolution to block President Joe Biden's student-loan forgiveness is advancing in the House. The House on education committee voted to approve a resolution that would block Biden's plan to cancel up to 20K in student debt for federal borrowers. It would also end the ongoing student-loan payment pause and rescind relief under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
