The Los Angeles Unified School District Student Empowerment Unit sets the platform for middle and high school students' 2021 Young Women& Leadership Conference on Saturday, November 13, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Under the leadership of Dr. Brenda Manuel, the Administrator and Conference Coordinator, the diverse conference team of fifty amazing intergenerational panelists from across the country and around the world and fifty women serving as moderators and facilitators welcome the students.The conversational workshops provide a space for panelists to share personal stories, explain the nuts and bolts for successful personal and career development, and inspire students to embrace the theme Your Time is Now and imagine the possibilities for living their best lives. Student leadership conferences are held annually to inspire and expose young women to role models and community leaders who provide insight, strategies, and advice on how to navigate educational and other systems so that students lead healthy, happy, and productive lives.
