Bernice Carnegie is the co-founder of the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation and served as its former Executive Director for 17 years.  Bernice takes a proactive role by continuing to share their family vision set out in the Future Aces Philosophy authored by her father Herbert Carnegie in 1956.  Having worked by his side for three decades, she also developed a passion for community engagement. Millions of students have been enriched through their Foundation’s initiatives that include character development presentations, leadership workshops and initiatives, and empowerment conferences.  Bernice takes special delight in knowing their Foundation has awarded more than three-quarters of a million dollars in scholarships to youth who give back to their communities by engaging in humanitarian causes and extensive volunteerism.

Currently, she is an Educational and Life Enrichment Speaker who shares the compelling historical journey of her family continues to entice her audiences to find their hidden potential. In 2016 she was a 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women honoree. A few other areas of community recognition include: Toronto District School Board’s Public Education Hero Award and Volunteer Award of Distinction; Planet Africa Development Award, Urban Hero Award for Education, Black Business and Professional Association Woman of Honor Award, National Ethnic Press & Media Council of Canada Humanities/Community Service Award, Ontario Black History Society Mathieu Da Costa Award for communication, Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame Lifetime Leadership Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal,.
