Don Glut, as he is informally known, has had a long and varied professional career. He has been a musician, actor, film director, photographer and (very briefly, for an advertising agency) copywriter, but is mostly known for his long career as a freelance writer. He has authored approximately 80 fiction and non-fiction published books, myriad TV scripts (live action and animation shows, both network and syndicated), motion-picture scripts, comic-book scripts, short stories, magazine articles, and even music. He has been involved with numerous popular franchises such as The Monkees, Tarzan, Marvel Comics heroes, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Dinotopia, Vampirella, Masters of the Universe, The Flintstones, Jonny Quest and many othersand created original characters for Gold Key, Marvel, and DC. Two of Don’s nonfiction books, The Dinosaur Dictionary, and Dinosaurs: The Encyclopedia were declared the “Best Reference Books” of their respectful publication years list by the American Library Association. Arguably Don is best known, however, for his novelization of the second “Star Wars” movie The Empire Strikes Back (a Number One Best Seller for almost two months, having sold millions of copies and still in print – and being read — today).

Currently, Donald F. Glut is executive-producing, writing and directing “traditional-style” horror movies – featuring iconic monsters – for his company Pecosborn Productions, and is also a regular scriptwriter for The Creeps, a horror comic
