Zilah Mendoza has performed nationally originating lead roles such as Ana in Lisa Loomer’s hit Living Out, Matilde in Sarah Ruhl’s Pulitzer nominated The Clean House, and Electricidad in Luis Alfaro’s adaptation of Electra, Electriidad featured on the cover of American Theatre Magazine. She has garnered national  recognition for her New York performances, receiving an OBIE, a Garland, a Lortel nod, and other awards for her portrayal of Ana.  She has received numerous back stage awards for her work in Los Angeles.Zilah has had recurring and guest starring roles on such shows as The King of Queens, MAD TV, Law and Order, Medium, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Grey’s Anatomy, 24, Nip/Tuck and The Closer. The Daily Variety raves, “Zilah Mendoza as Ana is an absolute winner. Her comic and dramatic timing exquisitely precise” and “Zilah rips through her role as the demented hate driven Electricidad with complete abandon.” The New Yorker called Zilah’s performance in Living Out ‘... excellent and touching ...’

Obie Award-winning actress Zilah Mendoza (appearing courtesy of Actors Equity) leads a cast of 10 actors portraying 18 roles in the central role of Magdalena “Magda” Del Rio, a Mexican woman of Apache descent, a Curandera (shaman woman), Midwife and co-owner of the land where the springs are located.'
