 on Sunday, "Westworld" and "Saturday Night Live" lead the 2017 nominations with 22 nods apiece. It’s the most nominations the long-running NBC late-night sketch show has ever received in a single season. "SNL" also broke its own record for the most nominations for any program with 231 total. Carrie Fisher received a posthumous nomination for guest actress in a comedy series for Amazon's "Catastrophe . "The television academy, long criticized for "cut and paste" lists of repeats, this year cast its collective gaze wide. Representing two very different sides of the TV spectrum, HBO’s “Westworld” and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” tied for most recognized show, with 22 nominations each; with 231 nominations since its 1975 debut, "SNL" broke its own record as the most Emmy-nominated show ever. Two new shows, Netflix’s breakout hit “Stranger Things” and FX’s “Feud: Bette and Joan,” tied for second, with 18 nominations each, and HBO’s “Veep” followed close behind with 17.

Natasha Middleton (Artistic Director/Choreographer, Pacific Ballet Dance Theatre) was born into a ballet legacy.  Her grandmother, Elena Wortova, danced with the Ballet Russes, and her father, Andrei (Bill) Tremaine, with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.  She was a ballerina with the original Pacific Ballet Theatre, under the direction of her father.  She trained and danced in Los Angeles and in New York with Joffrey II, as well as in Europe and Asia performing in such ballets as The Nutcracker, Raymonda, Spartacus, and Carmen.  She is the daughter of former San Francisco Opera Soprano, Natalie Garrotto and the niece of the late film star, Yvonne de Carlo (Lily on The Munsters). www.pacificballetdancetheatre.com
