FROM THE STREETS, TO THE FEDS, TO THE PULPIT is Michael Barrett's life journey, through the material possessions, women, money, prison, trials and tribulations. Because of his choices, he made a bed for himself that he was forced to lie in at a young age. When it came time for him to reap from all the wrong he had sowed, he had no idea that he would have to spend 18 years of his life in federal prison for running a drug organization. “Finally, the false reality he had been chasing after for so long, had revealed its true identity.” While in prison, Michael Barrett Jr. became an ordained minister preaching to inmates , staff and even to prison Warden's. He also wrote his autobiography titled “ SURRENDER ” and a adaptation screenplay under the same title, which has caught the attention of Hollywood producer Devon Franklin, just to name a few. After his release from federal prison in July of 2013, Pastor.Michael Barrett's  life clearly became a true testament of redemption.

In 2014 he received the FATHER OF THE YEAR AWARD through FATHERS AND FAMILIES COALITION , and was awarded the difference maker award in 2015 through Next Dimension University. Pastor Barrett mentors the youth at (2) different charter schools in Compton California, speaks at juvenile hall youth facilities throughout Los Angeles, is a talk show host on “Talking with The Barrett’s, an Elder at Megachurch Love And Unity Christian Fellowship in Compton Ca, the CEO of Kingdomtaiment Media Group, a film/music company ran by he and his wife LaKesia Barrett located in Inglewood, Ca and a film director, directing his first feature film titled; “BEYOND THE SHIELD." 

Truly Michael Barrett's life is a reflection of what God can do with a heart that's willing to "SURRENDER."
