Valerie Wardlaw is a motivated professional equipped with a large spectrum of skills.  Wardlaw is a psychologist and writer with experience in media consulting and community relations.  Wardlaw brings fervor and passion to everything she does, earning her praise in every field she takes on. Valerie completed her clinical training at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in neuropsychiatric assessment, the Pasadena Mental Health Center, specializing in community health, and the Fuller Psychological and Family Service Center. Valerie has served as Project Coordinator for the Los Angeles Women’s Health Project (Know Your Status, Get Tested) for the Office of Women’s Health.  In this position, she developed programs about women’s health for minority college students on 30 different college campuses throughout the western area of the U.S.  She maintained communication with a number of community partners in addition to creating media outreach and allocating the budget. Wardlaw then worked for the Pasadena City College Foundation as a Project Consultant for Communications and Special Events. There, she created a fundraising campaign for band uniforms for the Tournament of Roses.  The campaign was successful and raised over $125K.  Valerie’s position involved managing community outreach and fundraising events.  She also managed day-to-day special events and maintained relationships with donors, elected officials and alumni.
