Good morning! Today on The Meter, we will cover tomorrow's deadline for Donald Trump to fork over $454M to Latisha James in the so-called "asset inflation" case in New York. Thus far, Trump doesn't appear to have secured the unprecedented bond amount as insurance companies don't take real estate as collateral. James has threatened to confiscate Trump's assets and freeze his bank accounts if he doesn't pay up. Trump's poll number continues to rise in spite of his legal issues. How will this case affect Trump's chances in November? Back in Washington, Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene, (R) GA, has forwarded a notice-to-vacate for Speaker Mike Johnson after the House passed a $1.2T budget to avoid a government shutdown. The bill included hundreds of millions each for lgbt transitions for kids, late-term abortion, housing for lgbt seniors, and other non-republican earmarks. This, as the Republican majority in the House, shrinks to 3 seats. Will this discontent negatively impact the GOP in November? Also, in Moscow, ISIS is apparently back as the terror group claimed responsibility for the attack at a concert that claimed 133 lives. Vladimir Putin says Ukraine was also involved, which they deny. The massacre could indicate that terror groups' resurgence after their elimination in 2019. Will ISIS now become a major political concern for America's presidential election?
