Good morning. Today on The Meter, we will cover the devastating tornados that have ravished the American South. Mississippi has been hit the hardest near the Delta, leaving 25 dead and hundreds homeless. Winds were recorded at 166 miles per hour. The Biden administration has pledged immediate support. Is there any connection to climate change? Also, the US House passed a Parents Bill of Rights in American schools. Speak ler Kevin McCarthy proudly took the podium and proclaimed a victory for parents and students. Virginia brought national attention to the issue over a trans students sexual assault and the DOJ declaration of outraged parents as domestic terrorists. The Bill will give parents the right to have inappropriate material removed from schools and to be informed of what happens inside the school house. The Democrat controlled Senate says that the bill is dead on arrival. Should parents have this authority? On the domestic front, the Federal Reserve hiked interest rates once again to curb inflation. The markets withstood the anticipated increase, but economists are concerned about a recession and market correction. Is the US economy more fragile than it seems? Abroad, US forces in Syria were hit by a drone strike from Iran. The US retaliated in Syria this morning. Is the US on the brink of another conflict in the region? Please join the discussion at 10AM.
