Good morning, today on The Meter, we will discuss the ongoing American-China Trade War. President Trump placed a new round of tariffs on Chinese goods which caused a 700 point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Friday. Markets remain shaky with no end in sight. Is President Trump making the right move for America? President Trump is in France at the G7 Summit this week for talks on trade with allies. Reports are that the United States and Japan have reached a new trade deal that is a win-win for both countries. Also, it's rumored that the US and UK are nearing a mutual deal as well. Is the American President realigning the global trade world order? As the 2020 Presidential race heats up, Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden continues to make gaffes on the campaign trail. This week, the former Vice-President presented a "what if" scenario on the assassination of Barack Obama. When pressed on the meaning Biden said he was comparing his comment to the 1968 death of Robert Kennedy. In another gaff Biden told reporters and citizens how delighted he was to be in Vermont, while being in New Hampshire. Is Joe Biden competent enough to be President? In another domestic side fight, President Trump jabbed the 2 harshly critical Muslim Congresswomen Rashid Talib of MI and Illan Omar of MN by saying American Jews are being disingenuous toward Israel by voting Democrat after the 2 Muslim-Americans were denied entry into Israel. Correct or silly? Please join the discussion at 10AM. The call in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential!
