Mass Shootings in America

Good morning, today on The Meter we will cover the 2 mass shootings in less than 24 hours. At an El Paso, TX Walmart and Dayton, OH night club strip, 2 lone gunmen opened fire killing 29 and wounding more than 50. Both shootings are under investigation but politics has already made it's way into the fray. Many are accusing the Texas shooter of a White Supremacist attack. What is causing gun violence in the land of the free and home of brave? Also, Democrats sparred in a second round of debates jabbing at each other's records, touting the environment, and how much "free stuff" they will hand out. Is this a winning strategy for Democrats? Conversely, President Trump held a reelection rally in Cincinnati pushing his accomplishments and pledging more economic expansion, security, and America First policies. Are President Trump's plans helping more than they're hurting? Elijah Cummings (D) MD-Baltimore lashed out at President Trump after Trump criticized Baltimore's crime, sprawl, and poverty.
