Good morning, Today on The Meter, we will discuss the new civil right of transgender, claiming you identify as the gender opposite what you were born. As laws continue to be passed in support and in opposition, this week President Barack Obama ordered all public schools to allow students to use the restroom of the gender they say they identify with or lose their federal funding. A recent bathroom law was passed in North Carolina and in Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick publically spoke out agaisnt the Obama administation's policy. The proponets of transgenders says this is a civil rights issue and opponents claim it is about the safety of women and girls.
