The CHAUNCEY Show-Meet State Senator Shane Jett of Oklahoma Senate D-17. Sen. Shane Jett was first elected to the state Senate in 2020 after serving in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2004-2010. He represents Senate District 17, which includes parts of Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties. The Shawnee Republican grew up in Tecumseh working in his father’s auto-repair shop and later earned a degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in International Business. Jett is a former lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. In addition to serving as a state Senator, Jett is the former CEO of a financial institution that makes commercial loans for Native American businesses focusing on economic development and job creation in the state. In 2016, President Donald Trump appointed Shane to the US Treasury CDFI Fund Community Development Advisory Board where he serves as Chairman. On multiple occasions, Shane has been invited by the Trump administration to share his expertise in Native American and military affairs. Most recently he participated in a conference for Contemporary Native American Military Veterans at the White House.  While working in Brazil Shane met the love of his life, Ana, a Christ-centered Baptist girl that had her heart set on mission work in foreign countries. Ana worked as a public-school teacher in Brazil and worked with children with disabilities in the United States. They were married in 2001 and Ana became a naturalized US Citizen in 2007. They have three lovely daughters, Raquel, Esther, and Sarah. Join national political commentator/patriot host Chauncey I. Brown III and Oklahoma State Senator Shane Jett for an exciting conversation about the future of Oaklahoma.
