 The Chauncey Show-Episode 54 Meet State Senator Ted Harvey. Ted Harvey is a former Republican member of the Colorado State Senate, representing District 30 from 2007 to 2015. Harvey did not seek re-election in 2014. He served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2000 to 2006. Harvey was an at-large delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention from Colorado. Harvey was one of 30 delegates from Colorado bound by state party rules to support Ted Cruz at the convention. Cruz suspended his campaign on May 3, 2016. At the time, he had approximately 546 bound delegates. The Committee to Defend the President was first established as the hybrid Stop Hillary PAC in 2013. The PAC changed its name to the Committee to Defend the President in 2017. Ted Harvey, a former Colorado state senator, chairs the committee.
