Happy feast day of Saint Jude. St. Jude was one of rhe 12 Apostles and is often confused with the traitor, since they share the same name, thus the shortening of his name in days past to Jude. He was rhe brother of James the Less and is a “near relative” (cousin) of the Lord Jesus. He is one of the Patron Saints of Impossible Causes. A popular prayer to him for intercession is:

"O most holy apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honoureth and invoketh thee universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, and of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, who am so miserable."
