This is Part 2 of a 3 part series on the homeless and immigrant crisis in Chicago. AccoProperty owners with vacant apartment units are working with community organizations to create a system whereby the homeless can be housed in an apartment for one year while they work toward permanent employment. Today our guests will discuss existing programs for building owners to provide apartments to homeless and financially distressed individuals. CeCe Edwards joins us to take a look at the Chicago Low Income Housing Trust and Zoe Ma, a multi unit building owner shares her experiences in housing the homeless as we continue creating a document that can serve as an agreement for the unhoused to give them a one year stay an apartment building.
