While many know that February is Black History Month, it is not widely known that February 1st was legally declared Freedom Day in commemoration of the day Abraham Lincoln signed the legislation that was to become the 13th Amendment which ended slavery in America. Myeka joins us today to share her special February Black History calendar and examine the history of this National Freedom Day holiday and what it really means to be free.
