Halloween: Are You The Trick? Or The Treat?

Most parents don't take the time to do the little research on the holidays that give our children permission to become evil or wear an evil inspired costume.  Why is that? Why do we siimply accept what we are told as children, that follows us into adulthood? We are so heavily indocrinated that we can't see the forest for the trees!
