Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light, or HWPL, is a global peace organization founded in South Korea by Man Hee Lee, Chairman of the organization and convener of an annual global peace summit that is attended by thousands of representatives from nations around the world.  Members of HWPL Chicago, Alicia Juarez, Quinn Williams and Jessica Castillo join us today to discuss a strategy initiated by HWPL to replace the widespread energy of violence and conflict coming through the news media with the energy of peace and love. Those media professionals who are aware of the power they possess to create a different environment with the information they choose to promote are asked to join HWPL in a media summit on Friday June 4, 2021 from 6:30 to 7:30 Central Time to strategize on how to spread good, positive news and thereby change the perception of the people of the world of each other. Instead of fearing and hating each other as enemies, we can learn to appreciate and trust each other as friends, when we hear the positive, helpful work we are doing. Why must news be about crime and violence when it can be a daily report of good deeds? We have the power to change the world, let us use it.

Alicia is a Global Marketer at Abbott managing global product digital initiatives. She has a history working with performance media for healthcare, Pharma, automotive and the gaming industry. She is an alumna from NorthwesternUniversity Medill and has been volunteering with HWPL for four years.

HWPL also took part in the recent Global Peace Summit with The Female Solution.  Go here to listen to the Global Peace Summit
