Chaos In The Capitol: What Should We Teach Our Children About What They Saw?

The disruption in our Nation's Capitol provides a teachable moment for our children. They are studying American Democracy in school. How should we help them interpret what they saw, with the intention of preparing them to create a better society in the future? What was revealed about American race relations the the difference in police policies and practices toward specific groups? How do we address and mete out consequences to the violators of the Capitol building? Who should be held responsible for the loss of lives? What policies should follow these actions?
