MEN ONLY Discussion on Fatherhood:Domestic Violence, Raising Another Man's Child

The MEN ONLY Roundtable Discussion on Fatherhood is back by popular demand!  We are kicking off a 9 week Series TODAY Wednesday January 6, 2021 with a look at Domestic Violence and how that impacts the men who establish relationships and father children. So many women today are coming from previous relationships where they had children that many men find themselves in the role of father to other men's children. Joining our Host Karriem Hameed are: Greg Sain, Motivational Speaker, Co-Founder of The New Black Leadership; Al Raiford, Co-Founder, Books Over Balls; Kwame Sunhorse, Healer and Herbalist, and Rasheed Salaam, Trauma Therapy Specialist. Today we ask the questions:

1. Was there violence in the home where you were raised? If so, how did that make you feel? How did it affect the way you handled anger and conflict in your own relationships?

2. Have you been in a relationship with a woman who already had children? If so, how did you approach the role of father to her children? How was your relationship with the father of her children?

3. Have you served in the role of mentor to troubled children who didn't have fathers in the home? How did your experiences help you relate to them?
