Congressman Danny K. Davis was one of the panelists, along with Mama Dee and others, reviewing the impact of the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disobedience, known as the Kerner Report, established on July 29, 1967 by former President Lyndon B. Johnson.  He will discuss the impact of that Report on today's citizens.

Pastor Marvin G. Hunter of Grace Memorial Church hosted the Livestream Town Hall Meeting, entitled, "America Through the Eyes of Lawndale: 1967 Kerner Report Revisited in 2020."  He is the great uncle of Laquan McDonald and will point out how the same issues in the Kerner Report, 53 years ago, are confronting us today.

St. John Chisum is the Pastor of Gifts From Ministry and former President of the Pastors of Englewood.  He will share his insight as a former Chicago Public School Teacher and focus on the students, especially with the Corona Virus and its impact on their lives and that of their family..  The pros and cons of remote learning and if he thinks schools should reopen and if not, what role can the church play as a Black History extension.
