Gender roles have evolved over the last century, largely due to economic necessity brought about by world wars that depleted the male population and required women to take on traditionally masculine jobs. Sexuality has always been a controversial issue, tied to childbirth, family, economics and social status. What happens when a child born as one gender decides he or she wants to become something else? Today we'll take a look at how the option to change genders can affect our culture.
