African American History and Islam In America: A Malcolm X College Exhibit

Much of the African American experience has been iimpacted by the spread of Islam among the black community. Today Haroon Garel of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community joins us to discuss a special exhibit of African American History and Islam at Malcolm X College in commemoration of Black History Month. How did this religion and culture affect the African American community socially, economically and politically? What impact does the growth of Islam in America continue to have today?
