Many people engage in what is called "Social Drinking" but when does one know that they have crossed the line into alcoholism? Today we'll look at the case of Lisa and Chucky married for 11 years, and Lisa is at her wits end about Chucky's drinking. He goes to his job every day, but on the weekend, he hangs out with friends and gets blasted. It's a weekly routine, he says it's normal, she says its distressing when he comes home and terrorizes the family with his altered personality. He says he's not an alcoholic, he never missed a days work because of a hangover. She says he can't go a weekend without getting drunk, so the family can never enjoy holidays together. He isn't physically violent when he's drunk, but he does get vulgar and emotionally abusive. They have two children who watch their father in fear when he comes home after a drinking spell and starts hollering. Her friends and family say, "He has a good job, let it go." She loves her husband, the sober version of him, but can't stand the drunk alter ego. Should she stay or go?
