We know all about "old school" discipline, where you get your switch from the tree outside and get whippings for misbehavior. Some modern day parents see that as child abuse, and prefer "time outs" and other non-physical punishment. But what if that isn't working. Today we'll look at the case of a Grandma, asked to babysit unruly children using the "new school" methods. The children didn't respond, so grandma got her switch. The grandchildren straightened up after a few good whacks, but their parents had a fit and are ready to have grandma arrested. How should this situation be handled? Should Grandma babysit if the children won't behave when she tries to use the parents' "time out" system? Should the parents accept that their children will get whippings if they disobey at Grandma's house? When does spanking become child abuse? Hear all about it on "Wendi's City."
