Mama Joy Changing The Narrative for Self Emancipation.

First acknowledging that as a descendant from the Distinguish Sacred Servants of America, it is important that we, as Americans change the narrative of our history to build on True Foundations of American culture in the Spirit of True Love and Truth. It is because of the diversity that this country is so rich.

This Sunday through the eyes of historian Velma Maia Thomas.  Sharing with us the last Part Three "We Shall not Be Moved" of her amazing new book  “Lest We Forget” The Passage From The Great Migration Into The Twenty-First century.

She has authored several nonfiction books including the award-winning interactive Lest We Forget: The Passage from Africa to Slavery and Emancipation. (Ran House, 1997) now a collector’s item.

She has served as manager of the Shrine of the Black Madonna Cultural Center and Book store in Atlanta, from 1987 to 2000. She created the nationally acclaimed Black Holocaust Exhibit, a collection of original documents on slavery in America.
