The Selma Right To Vote Movement: Kathryn Galloway Guest Author

We will examine the movement that led to The achievement of The Voting Rights Act.  What brought it about and who participated in making it happened during the first part of the show. This week in Selma, Alabama the Bridge Crossing Jubilee took place with the re=enactment of Bloody Sunday when hundreds of people were brutally beat as they attempted to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge on their way to Montgomery (the state capitol) to go and see the governor Wallace.
