Umoja: Can We Unite With Those We See As “The Enemy?”

We have been deceived. We have been pitted against people because they live on a different part of the planet, have different physical characteristics and different ways of dressing, speaking, and eating food. We have been deceived into fearing people and thinking they are “the enemy” who intend to take what we have. But what if there is no “enemy”? What if we are all, regardless of race, nationality or gender, the same expression of Divine energy? What if the Earth has enough abundance to support us all, if we would just choose to share? On this first day of the Kwanzaa celebration “Umoja” which means “Unity” let’s look at how we can raise the consciousness of those who react with fear because they falsely believe there is an “enemy.
