Picture this: You get up in the morning and turn on the news, and everybody on the television is smiling. They are talking about the weather and how well the crops are growing, a great new invention that is reducing air pollution, a school teacher whose students gave her an award...good news, uplifting stories, information that leaves you feeling happy. You go outside and all your neighbors are smiling. They wave and greet you as you get in your car. You drive to work, and even though the streets are crowded, no one is honking impatiently or cutting you off in traffic.  Everyone is just patiently driving along, contentedly listening to music on their car radios. You arrive at work and everybody in your office is smiling, greeting each other, having lighthearted conversation. You settle into your work day, feeling happy.  We can live our daily lives without stress and anxiety, but we choose not to, because of years of conditioning that life is a struggle. This is a mis-teaching. We create the world we live in with our thoughts, and the dominant collective thought is that other people are bad, not to be trusted, different than us, enemies to be feared. We treat each other with fear, suspicion, resentment, jealousy and hate, so we every day we create a world that is lacking in love. What if we would choose to create something different? The first step is to change what we teach our children about themselves and other people. Today we'll examine 10 good thoughts to plant in the minds of our children to help them create a better future.
