Lonnie Deadwyler joins us this evening for number 8 in the Political Education series to look at the process of lobbying to pass legislation. Glenda Fulton of the National Sarcoidosis Society talks about the process she experienced in lobbying for raising awareness, funding research and making treatment available for the disease sarcoidosis.  What kind of skills should elected officials have to enable them to introduce legislation that address and resolve issues of concern in the community?  How can voters figure out if they are selecting the right person for the job of looking out for the interests of the residents?
