Slave auctions? People being bought and sold for labor? It's happening in today's world? The report by CNN that black slavery is alive and well in Libya, Africa, has shocked the world. But there are those who know this problem has always been lurking just under the surface, and some say that the people who deal in the despicable trade in human flesh have been empowered by the death of Col. Moammar Ghaddafi to increase their activities. Joining us today is Ben Akorli, a journalist and radio producer from Africa, who will share his insight on the historical conflicts between Libya and other nations in Africa. Did the international slave trade ever really end, or did it just go underground for a while? Who do we hold accountable for this inhumane business, the sellers, the buyers, both? How do we stop it?
