Yes, we live in a society where some people have racially prejudiced attitudes. But most of our life decisions don't require us to have anybody else's approval in order for us to be successful. Yet African Americans often obsessively concerned about whether White people like them or are disapproving of them. What has that got to do with our decisions to learn how to build our own houses, grow our own food, sew our own clothes, and spend our money with members of our community? How do we get out of the habit of being so focused on racism that we remain paralyzed to do what we already have the power to do to change our condition? Let's Talk About It with Myeka
