Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel held a special meeting at the DuSable Museum of African American History on Sunday May 21st with immigrants and refugees from various nations, pledging to welcome those fleeing other countries and making the city "One Chicago." The question is, are the immigrants receiving a greater welcome and more access to human services than indigenous black citizens? Mama Dee examines the issue of preferential treatment of refugees and immigrants over blacks in Chicago. Daniel "Doc" Habeel, President of the RTW Center joins us to discuss the struggle black veterans are waging to keep their housing and human service center open in the Jackson Park area where the new Obama Library is to be built.
