Whether we are mothers, wives, or even daughters, women have a tremendous influence on the behavior of men. A man is first influenced by his mother. Her approval or disapproval can drive him to excel in any endeavor, or can keep him in a state of hopeless frustration that he is forever inadequate as a human being. A wife can be the motivation to strive for greatness, such as the case of Barack and Michelle Obama, in which the former President often speaks admiringly of the strength and intelligence of his wife. A daughter can even be one who preserves a father's legacy, and gives him the love and support that helps him maintain his dignity as age causes the weakening of his physical body.
