People tend to accept weight gain as a natural part of aging. Over time, its easy to get comfortable with the extra pounds.  But extra weight puts pressure on the heart and the joints in the legs, and affects blood pressure. What happens when your spouse begins to exhibit signs of poor health due to weight gain and lack of exercise? Your quality of life is affected when your spouse is chronically tired or in pain and unwilling to participate in physical activities. And lets not mention how being physically incapacitated can kill your romantic life. Not everybody is into physical fitness, but if you love the temple you're in, you'll fix it up and keep it in good shape, so that you can enjoy life more. If you're married to a non-active spouse who has let the pounds increase over time, to the point where it is clearly a health issue, how can you inspire them to make better decision  about their health? Can you? Or do you just have to accept their choice to physically deteriorate?  What can you say and do to make eating healthy and exercising a fun activity for the both of you?
