Divorce is something no one wants when they get married, yet 63% of marriages end in divorce, and the legal system has found divorce to be a lucrative business. Lawyers keep couples from speaking to each other as they serve as each person's representative in trying to "win" the case. Why must the dissolution of a marital union be a court case? When we bring in the justice system, we invite greater conflict that often escalates into violence. Today we will look at one such case in which the child support system connected to the couple's separation has become a criminal pursuit, creating more trauma and drama for the family. Can't we all just get along - even if we choose to separate? Our relationship experts will take a look at methods of de-criminalizing divorce so that children may live in peace, even if they live separately with each parent. Our guest today, Ali Ansari, shares his story with the hopes of resolving a very volatile issue.
