When an ethnic group migrates to another country, the group brings its language and culture, which includes food, clothing, and religion. This can be an opportunity for sharing information and learning about one another's history. Or it can create an unpleasant clash of cultures and a hostile power struggle, depending upon how each side views and treats the other. Tony Jones, Executive Director of the Centre for Social Justice and Development Inc., is also Chairman of the National Unity Commission which has been tasked to investigate impediments to unity in Guyana.
